Edit: With the pre 06's though, it would be a much easier process to just plasti-dip it. I do like that look.

I finally got my 4Runner almost finished... for now. My 5100's, FJ coils and DS kit were installed last month. My measurements ended up coming out to 3/2 on the lift. I bought some Cooper ATP 265/70-17's the other day. The 285's rubbed on the control arms and frustrated me, so I passed. I need to get some wheel spacers.

Tomorrow I might go exchange out for some BFG AT 275/70-17's. I cross my fingers that they don't rub on the control arms until I can get a set next month. I might just keep my Coopers. Still debating if it's worth another $200.00 to get the BFG's. We are leaving for Creede, CO next weekend. So far I am really happy, except the backspacing on my wheels. Thanks to all that have contributed. This is a great forum.

Trip to Moab last weekend

Went on a little camping trip to Moab last weekend with the wife and some friends. Had to get a few pics of the 4Runner while I was there. Just did the Shafer Pass trail from Canyonlands to Moab, it was super nice! Since we just had the one rig I didn't want to do anything sketchy.

stock vs lifted T4R

After enjoying the lift and new tires on my truck, i decide to compare it to my friend's T4R. In comparison ground clearance on stock one is 32inche and 3/4 front and 35inch and 3/4 rear. My T4R is 37 inch 1/2 front and 37 inch and 3/4 rear.

Finally made the plunge.

Been wanting to put the daystar 2.5"/1.5" kit, 1.5" spidertraxx and 275/65/18 BFG's on my 08 Limited AWD for a while now. Finally got everything put on last week and I couldn't be happier. Looks great, ride is the same and it makes the factory 4Runner look like it should spend some time at the gym. I have a before and after picture below to see the difference.

Thanks to all the people on here for posting the information I've been reading the last 4 months, it helped me to narrow down exatcly the look I wanted.

I will post some better pictures soon.

Just installed my CornFed 3/2 lift this weekend. New 285/75/R17 Nitto Terra Grapplers will be on the way soon. For now im still rocking the 265/65/R17 Goodyear Fortera's I had on before the lift. Very pleased with the results so far though!

Update

It has been a while.

My Goodyear Forteras finally wore out. I got 3 years and almost 50,000 miles out of them.

Here it sits now, my 04' with 131,000 miles and a new set of 265/70R17 Wrangler MT/Rs.

I think my T4R is the same high as 5th gen.

265/70/17 Duratracs

No lift yet. Ordered a Daystar 2.5/1.5 lift but I'm not sure when I'll be able to put it on.

This is with 265/70/17 Duratracs on 2012 4Runner Trail Edition rims.

I haven't experienced any rubbing yet. Still contemplating wheel spacers.

Thanks to my buddy Gaterose I finally got my Bilsteins 884/Superflex installed today. It was getting late so we were just able to grab some cell phone shots. Even though it was some hard work it was great hanging out and shooting the breeze. I will get some better pics tomorrow.

This is the pile of Xreas parts leftover. While i was working on some other parts Matt was pulling all the Xreas tubing out.
