Here's my new additions. FJ springs, Revtek spacer lift, painted wheels, and a disco roof rack(dont ask how it's attached).

Unfortunately though I have both CV joints leaking. Whats a realistic price on replacing those? Pep Boys wanted $550 each. I don't have the time or I'd do it myself. I know their price is WAYYY too much.

I think my dealership quoted me like 2 hundred and something per side using aftermarket axles. So like under $500 for both. These guys are crooks, but I guess that's reasonable. Definitely better than $550 each. But yeah, you could save a ton if you did them yourself.

CV axles are cheap from rock auto. Find a shop with a low hourly rate and you should be good to go at around $300-$350

CV Boot kits are around $20 from the dealer. Had one of mine replaced about a month ago.

Literally just picked up from autozone reman oem axles for $70+25 core. Not bad of you ask me.

No doubt they are crooks. I took my truck in for my door lock to be fixed and they ended up calling me to tell me that i needed new lower ball joints, to the tune of $2,000. They said they couldn't just replace the ball joint (bullshit!) but they had to replace the entire LCA. I had called an independent place and the guy said they could replace them with Moog ball joints for much cheaper. After he looked at it, he said they are fine. He could have easily just replaced them with the Moog, but was honest enough to give me the truth instead of trying to make a buck.

Haha. They are actually not to blame for all that on my side but I know what you mean. All that grease and blood is mine.....they'd have to work to get greasy.

That was $550 each($1100 total)......they are crooks. I even told them they were grossly inflating the price and he just said "thats your opinion". I then told him the part cost(new) and the book hours for the work. Owned

You're going to be blown away by those tires; I've ran them in that same size and they work flawlessly. I see many people claim they hydroplane in the rain but I live in the rainiest city in the nation (over 60" a year) and never had a problem in the 2.5 years I ran them.

Drove 15 miles on em. Got 17.2 mpg average!! The ride is smooooooth and it's tight. Not nearly as much wandering.

I can't wait to see how these tires treat me

Only problem I had was with one tire not holding air. They had surprising amount of sidewall deflection too for a load range E tire.

they're really soft tires. I liked them but didnt run them long. Not too pretty of tire, the sidewall is kinda plain for me. Those are some super skinnies you got.

I love the bare bones look of the sidewall and I like the skinny. Not sure which I like more, wide or skinny, but time will tell! I definitely like the increased mileage.

I don't mind deflection too much, but as long as I don't blow a bead I'll be ok
