Lift and Tire Central (pics)... Post 'em Up!

How do you like those 255/75s? Have you noticed much difference from stock? I'm looking into the tall & skinny way myself...actually, the same sized tires.

I love them. I haven't really tested them out besides some mud and a hill climb but i was able to drive through it slowly without any wheel spin.

And aesthetically, i think they look sick with spidertrax 1 1/4 inch spacers.

+1 on the KMs for grip. Got a chance to test them out on rock, mud, and dirt trail and they have awesome traction.

Damn momo, that's the stance that makes me dance

Thanks man. I am very pleased with the stance. It looked ok with the 265/65 18 tires but these look a little meatier and more proportional to the lift

Not sure how I missed this

Truck looks great Mo! I really like the choice of the machined wheels :thumb:

Thanks. I had second guessed myself after getting them but have been happy with my choice. As my build has been coming together i noticed that my tastes were kind of taking it in a clean classic direction.

So how do i get 3.5 with a bilstein 5100 setup. I really would like to get as close to stock ride as possible. And the cheaper the better. Its a parking lot cruiser only
Also do i need to run hub centric rings with my wheels

I'd go with FJ coils and DS kit with 5100's. You'll be happy with the ride and close to 3". I installed a 1/2" body lift that now has me actually closer to over 3 1/2".

any rubbing? or should I ask, what do you rub with that setup?
and I don't get your rear. You have a daystar spacer in left rear side, with a 5100, and right side you have...?

After my tires ate part of my driver side flap i went ahead and removed them. I haven't had any rub since then. On my rear suspension, i have the 5100's and Superflex coils. I have the Daystar 1.5" spacer on the driver to correct the driver side lean. I never tried it without the spacer but had read enough threads about people having a lean without a spacer. I have measured a couple of times since the lift and both sides of the rear have been dead even

Is that some trail carnage I see in the last pic?

Yes, but not because of something I did. It was my first time ever to get stuck. Marlin of Marlin Crawler pulled me out. His first attempt didn't work. So he gunned it and pulled out alright, but then I went into a boulder and the CBI rear bumper came up and knocked off the tail-light while denting the corner. I plan to get the dent fixed. Still trying to figure out how to re-attached the tail-light.

Hmm so it's Marlin's fault. :eyebrows: It adds character man! Truck looks sweet! :thumb:

Yes, it is Marlin's fault because his famous red truck is equipped with his famous transfer case, making it so dang powerful, he could pull the Space Shuttle with it.
