Went back to Chrysler. Got tired of the mechanical issues and paying double cost for parts. Never had any trouble with Jeeps and Dodges over the previous decades so I went back to what I know.

Hmm.. Don't think I've ever heard of anyone switching from Toyota to Jeep because of reliability, though I've heard it the other way quite a few times.

We get snow every 4-5 years, so this was a big deal!

EDIT: Hmm after seeing these pictures it makes it look like I need some wheel spacers. Opinions?

spacers make the t4r look 100 times better in my opinion. I have an 07 with the wider fender flares like yours. I went with 1.25 up front and 1.5 in the rear. all 4 are allpro hubcentric. tires sit pretty much flush with the fender now with stock sport wheels and tires. 0 issues with the spacers since install

Hi there, i'm new to 4runners, just bought a 2007 sr5 with V6 engine... I really love it! The only thing is that the suspension look too soft in the rear. So i buy and install FJ springs in the rear (let's say that i bought after market parts not toyota OEM... money save$$) I've seen there so much wonderful runners that i want to level it at least and buy some off road tires... Since i installed the FJ springs what should i buy next to finish the job? Let me try this:

- FJ cruiser front shocks and springs... + 1/2'' lift
- On the rear change the shocks also (still OEM and i have 82000 miles) should i buy FJ shocks models also?

also (this will be noob question...) what XRAS??? Doh

I installed 2011 TT FJ springs with bilstein 5100s front and rear. The ride is great, not to stiff but wayyyyy more responsive and solid to drive. I even tow a trailer occasionally and it handles much better with this suspension combo. I recommend the 5100s. PLus theres a million other users that have installed them and the price is pretty good.

The Xreas suspension in a nutshell is all 4 shocks sharing the same fluid, there connected by fluid lines and it distributes fluid where needed to stop body roll and nose dive. Over engineering at its finest. Personally, I thought the XREAS was a let down.
Its only good for one thing in my opinion. Driving in straight lines on highways. feels real soft and floaty. Some people like this, I don't. I loved watching the fluid bleed from my XREAS when I removed them. It was a good day......

very pleased with the result.

I still have a new front daystar 2.5 if someone is interested.

I can finally be in this thread! After a frustrating week, I got my Runner back with brand new XREAS and the Toytec 3/2 spacers. I love it I love it I love it. (Though maybe eventually once XREAS flakes out again I'll get a suspension lift) . More pictures to come. Love it!

Texas Edition??? Is that a real thing?
curious to know what your rigs hieght measurements are after the lift?
Center of wheel to fender maybe?

Nah I added the Texas Edition badging using the Tundra Texas Edition badging they use here. Metal Miller is making me a custom front Texas Star emblem badge. I can measure the height for ya but it feels way higher. I haven't figured out how to smoothly climb in yet so I look like a girl who can't handle the rig. Doh! Drives great still but turns are stiff.

What lift and tire are you running??

running 2.5 camburg coils up front with walker evans rear suspension kit from all pro offroad

wheels are pro comp 7032 and tires are 265-70 toyo all terrains

I havent gotten the chance to do the chop yet since I went back to school, but I haven't had any issues rubbing since I did the trimming after I got the tires on. Hope this helped!
