I dunno I might pull a Blk and run 3" of bodylift with a 6" DB lift so I can clear 38's.....
Alex, are you referencing that BLACKRUNNER guy that never wired up his light bar and was banned last month? If so, I nearly blew a snot out laughing my ass off. If not, I nearly blew a snot out laughing like an idiot.

I'm somewhat newer to the forum and reading that build drove me crazy. Just upgrade the damn suspension for god sake.

Its the way I think they should have come from the factory. I wish someone would make a 2/1 or 2.5/1.5 spring lift.

I've been looking at 285/70/17's to buy in the next few months and one of my choces is the cooper s/t maxx. Everyone says how it is so heavy and that's it's downfall, but the other few tires I am looking at(all terrain 285s) are no more than 2-3 pounds lighter. Tread depot says the 285 coopers are 55lbs. Anyone have the 285 coopers that have also had another 285 on that could comment on any difference in feel?
Edit: maybe people are saying that the st maxx's are more heavier in the smaller sizes in comparison of other smaller size all terrain tires. The 265/65 st maxx is listed at 53lbs at tread depot which Is very heavy to me.
Double edit: Amazon has the st maxx 285/70 listed at 60 lbs. What the heck is its real weight?!

I want them off sooooooo bad! But my bride to be and kids need them to get in already. Lol. I want rock sliders and will swap as soon as I can. I also stand on them to put ladders on top of the rack. Taller? Very soon. ;-)

When I first bought my '08 a few months ago, I went through this thread to see what I liked. As soon as I saw T-Dog's truck, I said "that's exactly how I want mine to look." So here it is:
5100's all around, front set at 2.5", Daystar 1.5" spacers in the rear, Spidertrax 1.25" spacers, and BFG All Terrain TA/KO's 265/70/17's.
And a quick note to newbie 5100 installers - make sure your spring perches are on right-side-up or you will end up with this (I'm so embarrassed):
