There's a kit you get from Dipyourcar.com it comes with a spray gun and the gallons you need to do it. Some get the glossifier but i didn't because i just wanted matte. I didn't buy the kit cause my buddy already had it so i just bought the gallons and used his sprayer. I ended up using 4 gallons which was enough but i didn't do the roof because the roof rack and everything plus you don't really see it anyways. If i were to do it again i would probably get 5 gallons just to have the extra couple of coats! The hardest part is masking everything off properly. There is also a forum on dipyourcar.com that's good to look around just to see what others have already done and how they've done it, some good write ups as well.

Gas Mileage?

I'm looking at potentially lifting my 2005 v8 sport edition, i want to do the 3 in the front 2 in the back toytec block lift, but i have no clue what mpg to expect. Has anyone done this lift and could tell me what mpg they're getting? Thanks in advance.

This is covered everywhere, however i won't say hey check here, search here etc. lol..

Lift alone really won't change MPG any. When you start adding larger tires etc, that's when the MPG changes start happening. And with the tire category, the type and load makes an even bigger difference.

So if your just adding lift and no tire difference your not gonna see any MPG change, maybe the slightest bit, but not really much.

What are your tire plans?

I have the exact same truck. I have 285/70/17 and I get about 14-16 on average. I do have a heavy foot though and I do a lot of city driving. If I was cruising the highway I get around 18. Tires don't bother the v8 one but either.

I don't find it rougher, but my old shocks were so blown everything is an improvement. I will say that when I can afford it I plan on getting the long travel setup for the rear. Also, most of my ride roughness is due to load E tires that I am running, they make a dramatic difference in how harsh the ride is. Air them down to 15-20 PSI and it is like gliding on a cloud. So, if you are worried about ride quality, stick with a lower load rating unless really needed for towing.
