Finally did something new!

Went from pro comp 18x9 with 265/60/18 bfg ko2's to SCS 17x8.5 with 265/70/17 falken wildpeak a/t3w.

Good weight saving and better look with the new setup. I had to chop a bunch of inner fender liner off and take the mudflaps off.
Also going from a E rated tire to a XL is way better ride quality.

I moved from CO to CA so that was also a factor in getting a different load tire (just don't have many wheeling spots around me) so I went with something smoother.
And much less expensive too lol.

Nice man I think the new setup looks way better, but mostly because I want to get those same tires lol! Any shots from the rear or from slightly off to the side, or from farther back? I wanted to get an idea of how those tires look width wise.

Haven’t been pulled over.... yet. Hahaha.
I’m definitely going to move it but need to figure out where. I’ll probably just use zip ties before i road trip this weekend.

You can use LED license plate bolts to light it up at night.

I would also put 4 bolts in the back of your bumper/middle, just to secure it to the cross member. Yellow arrows.

Bilstein 6112/5160 w/ Icon 2" rear coils installed 2 days ago
Ordered Falken Wildpeak AT3W P285/70R17 last night to mount on SCS Ray 10's.

Thinking i should have gone 1.5 rear coils to have it more level.

I'm in the same boat did 6112s and icon 2.0s with icon 2" springs. Rear sits about 1.5" higher. Which miiiiight be fine once she's loaded up with camping gear. We will see... considering front spacers or adding a drawer system in the truck for added weight.

I think Im gonna trim my bumper. I still get some rub when backing up which doesn't bother me but the front of the tire is pretty close to the bumper.

Looks like you’ve pushed the fender liner forward already. Wondering why your tires are so close. Do you have aftermarket UCA’s to adjust for caster that are pushing them further forward? I’m asking because I’m about to install my SPC UCAs and want to know what to expect.

yeah i have spc upper control arms. front suspension are fox coil overs. they arent cranked up all the way for max height, maybe thats why the tire is a bit close. i did have it lifted higher in the front but the ride was unbearable so i brought it back down a bit.

I purchased it from the original owner, it’s a 2004 SR5 4wd with 215k, it was bone stock when I bought it a few months ago. I felt I got a good deal at $3800. Needless to say it needed a few changes.

I have added a Gibson Exhaust and aFe intake, Old Man Emu 885 fronts and 895e rear coils with Old Man Emu shocks front and back. Tires are Dick Cepek Extreme Country M/T 265/70/17 and the wheels are 17x8.5 American Racing Ar172’s.

Bilstein 5100 shocks all the way around, shocks set at 2.5 in the front- $358 on eBay

2012 Fj cruiser shocks with around 10k miles on them all the way around-$100 found on Craigslist

Origionally had the XREAS suspension on my 03 4Runner and wanted to get a beefy look so I swapped them with 5100s and FJ shocks and love how it turned out. 2.5 in the front and 2.0 in the rear. Right now there is 265/65/17 on it but plan on getting 275/70/17 bfg ko2 this week. I'm stoked. Ride is great. First time poster here but long time reader. Stay tuned for more
