Got her lifted this past weekend. FJ and Bilstein 5100 all around set at 1.75

Had my rig for quite a while and no pics so here it goes.

Ome 884/ 80 Series Landcruiser rear coils with 5100 allround

17x9 (can't remember) Gunmetal Enkei Borgner wheels on Hankook Dynapros 285/70s with body mount chop but that was done later as one of those you must do mods.

Lift Or Not

I have a stock 2018 4Runner. Trying to decide if I should lift or not. I normally travel forest roads and two tracks. Trying to decide if I should just upgrade to better tires and keep things stock or lift and add bigger tires. Cons of a lift are recalibrate speedo and kdss and alignment. I would also sacrifice gas mileage. Most of my trips are hundreds if not thousands of miles. Would I benefit from a lift. Thoughts??

The story is... my UCA's had around 175K miles on them. A member on this forum sold me his OEM UCA's off of his brand new 4runner because he upgraded to aftermarket ones. So instead of removing my UCA's and installing new bushings and ball joints, I just installed the whole assemblies from a 5th gen that were brand new.

Cool, seems like they can stuff 285's on the 5th gen( I didn't know that) thought maybe something was 'better' with the 5th UCAs.

They are essentially identical to the 4th gen. The price was right, otherwise I would've gone aftermarket.

Some of you guys/gals with modded 4th gens need to do a build thread, we all like to kill time check'n out others ideas.

Helps keep track of what you do, hell I cant remember what I had for dinner last night.

That looks sweet. I have an '08 as well but just a Sport. Do you have a 2" spacer lift in the back to match? I'd love to see a side shot if you have one.

Thanks for the feedback! I have the 3" Toytec spacer kit. It's 3" in the front and 1.25" in the back.

just lifted my 4runner

bilstein 5100 set at 1.75 n burtmans 1 in rear spacer. I kept my stock springs. hope this helps anyone looking to do a mild lift. fire away if you have any questions.

Fox 2.0 coilovers up front set a bit under 2.5"
OME 895 springs with Fox 2.0 in the rear 2"

Goodyear Duratrac 285/70/17
Trimmed front bumper, fender liners moved forward, mudflaps and running boards removed

Method Standard wheels 17x8.5 0 offset 4.75 backspacing

No body lift or body mount chop, stock UCA

Haven't had any rubbing with moderate wheeling

I just lifted mine, looks almost the same. As soon as I can, I''l post pics up of my 05 SR5.

How much did you adjust the coilovers to get that height? I thought these were good for up to 2 inches of lift?

Some updated photos of my '07 Limited. Now on VTX Vipers and 295/70/17 Falken MT01s. Toytec Ultimate set at 3" and a 1.5" body lift. I'll be adjusting back down to 2.5" in the front though for more rake, I adjusted it up to compensate for a steel bumper I was going to order but things got in the way:blah:

Your 4Runner looks amazing just like it is! Why would you want more rake in the front? I have more rake than I want and plan to eliminate it when I can save up and buy a better suspension set up.

Thanks! Really just want to bring it down another 1/2" because as soon as I load my bikes on the rack and riding gear into the trunk I look nose-high :jump:
