Just got new tires and wheels put on a set of 265/70/17 Deestone Mud Clawer with FJ cruiser rims also have the Daystar 2.5/1.5. I had never heard of these tires before but i saw them at the tire store and they were a reasonable price so i took a shot at it

just installed the DS 2.5-1.5, topout - preload kit and 235-80-17 BFG AT KOs with Spidertrax 1.25 spacers. Rides and looks so much better. thanks too all on this forum!!!

pittz5 - the lift looks good, so do those new tires! Do you have XREAS? I'm pretty sure that the daystar 2.5/1.5 is compatible with that, and I do have it. Did you put the lift/wheel spacers on yourself?

Thanks, yes I have the XREAS and the lift is Daystar. I did everything myself except alignment of course. Id say it took about 5-6hrs total for front and rear mainly because I got the DS kit with topout and preload so I had to compress springs. I am very pleased with this kit. Rides as good if not better than it did before. I wish I had a better camera, the phone pics dont do it justice...;-)

Looks great! Did you mean 265 65 17 tires? Thought those were the stock 17'' tires? Either way, looks great! Congrats and I can't wait to at least level out my 4R!

Yes, sorry for the confusion, i'll edit the post. Thanks for pointing that out, I must have gotten them confused with the FJ Cruiser winters tires which I recently bought. And there not actually the stock Dunlops but they are the stock size.

Beanz...also, how are your Off Road Lights attached? Are the mounted on the bumper or grill?

BTW, I really like the look of your Truck. (I would keep the white lettering.)

I made a bracket out of some 1/4" flat steel that I got from Lowe's. It connects to existing holes on the front of the frame and comes through the bottom of the grill. Nothing is bolted to the bumper or the grill. It bolts to the frame, very solid.

Need some help with my 4 Runner

I have a 2003 Toyota 4 Runner 4x4 SR5. I am getting ready to install a Truxx Lift and Level kit,3" in the front and 1.25" in the rear
with oem Rancho shocks front and back.
My question is..... I would like to put 285 75 R16 or (33's) on it with some new rims I have bought. I am not sure with the Truxx kit the tires will fit, it seems
like I will not have enough lower fender clearance or the tire is to large in dia.
Does any one have any thoughts on this?
some input would be greatly appreciated.

I believe some are, I would check toyota120.com for more info. There are a few guys there with lifted GXs. Maybe also clublexus.
