Lift and TRD Bronze Wheels Installed

I just finished installing a set of extended travel Icons, OME 890s, 2nd gen Taco 5100s in the rear, new tie rods, new LBJs, LR UCAs,etc...

The wheels came off of my Taco. I am not sure if I will keep the bronze or paint them black. What do you think?

The tires are 285/75/16 Mickey Thompson MTZs

Bronze looks sweet! When I built my 1st gen I had to deflate he tires to get it out of the garage.

wow thanks for all of the feedback! I wasn't sure how the bronze/silver combo would go over.

I will definitely leave them bronze for awhile.

I'll try and get some better pictures in the next week. i need to have it aligned and clean it up first.

Absolutely love the silver/bronze theme! Not that it's a bad thing but black is really widespread and is all over everything. I say this as a T4R owner who's got a black/white theme going... ha!

I think the rig looks stellar right now and is something totally different. I'd build on that and make a real head-turner.

Truck looks good. But I personally think silver is the only color bronze doesn't go well with. I'd redo them in a gunmetal color if it was my truck. But it's not mine, it's yours so do whatever you like best.

Your 4runner looks great with the TRD wheels. I have the same wheels but in black. Where are you located in Texas?

I dig the look. I think the bronze looks good, but think a darker shade would look good too. If you do decide to paint them, I would leave the lip silver.

I think I agree with you. I like bronze wheels, and I like silver vehicles, but I'm not sure they belong together.

Bronze seems to go with everything else like white, blue, black, red, etc... Very well.

I have a feeling they will get painted eventually when I get my front and rear bumpers (which will probably be black or painted to match)

I'm going to run them like they are for awhile. Maybe I can find someone with the black version that would want to trade straight up.

No rubbing yet because it hasn't been out of the garage. :tongue1: I still need to bleed the brakes and have it aligned.

I will be driving it around this weekend and do some urban wheeling and report back.
