Lift for '02 on 33s

I have an 2002 4Runner and I would like to know the most efficient lift to put on 33s. I've seen people running them with a 5" is that what it'll take or could it be lower.

you will need at least a 3" lift, and even then you will rub, i have 33" tires and a 3" lift and the tires rub at extreme moments, but you can get away with 3" but i would go to 4" and even then you will need to do a little cutting.
