Lift Install In South Bay Area 2/8

Just letting some of you local guys know that I will be helping a member install his lift this weekend in Campbell. He doesn't really post much, but I will be helping him install some 5100's and Eibachs and my old Downey coils. If anyone wants to cruise by to help, bullshit or drink some beer let me know. I'm firming up the time, but I'd expect around 10-3.

Damn too bad. This is going to be a quick install (I hope). Soon we will get a good meet up going so that all parts of the bay area and possibly Sac can join.

I got a helping had with my first lift, so it's only right to pass the favor along. Plus I can't stand seeing people pay $3-400 for the install at a shop.

NO diff drop, CV's look fine. Diff drop is definitely preferred, but my 99 ran without a diff drop and it was fine

Usually free on weekends. Seems most peoples weekends are the good time I think.

Thanks! It was a good time and went pretty smooth considering we had to use compressors and the rear shocks came off relatively easy with some bending persuasion...

Only took us about 4 hours so probably not worth all the driving time, but we will set something up real soon. I might have some mods that I'll need help with, so it would be sweet to meet up with everyone.

how do the CVs look now?

As infamous said, no diff drop. I didn't even think about it till we were cleaning up and I had to get going. I may stop by at some point and help him put it on, but he should be fine. I've been running my lift for 2 years now and never put a diff drop on with no adverse effects. Just one torn boot that happens to people with diff drops.

I didn't even think to look at the CV's, but I'm sure they are fine.


Thanks Infamous for posting those pictures, they really captures the day. I had a blast and was totally beat after we were done. You're up next, so let me know when you get your lift and we'll set something up. Just as long as you don't have 5125's or need compressors....haha


BTW, in case anyone was wondering his lift is Eibachs/Taco 5100's up front and my old Downey coils with 5125's in the back. He's running 265/75/16 General AT2's as well. It came out awesome and looks sweet with a little bit of rake.
