Lift Install

I got my spidertrax spacers yesterday after a month and a half of waiting on backorder, so it's finally time for the lift to go on. I called the shop and they told me it would take 4 hours, the first time I got an estimate from them they said 3 hours. I'm pretty sure it will take between 2 & 3 so I called them out on it. I just wanted to get some feedback and make sure I was right about this. I will post pictures for the first time when it's done next Wednesday with all mods in my signature included.

$90/hr. That sounds like a hell of a deal. The first time i asked for an estimate they told me 3 hours, now its 4. I dont have a problem paying the money, i just dont want to pay them for 4 hours if it only took them 2.

I would recommend being there to oversee the install, not just to ensure an accurate time quote but to make sure they handle your XREAS system correctly.

Although it took me working alone almost 8 hours for the front pair, I would think a shop could do the fronts in 2-3 hours and the rear in 30 minutes.

Alot of shops will go by book hrs. If the book says 3 hrs to take off and reinstall suspension components...then that's what they charge. We do book hrs all the time....we have to pay the bills. I would charge you 3 hrs. It may take less than that if 2 guys do it..probably half the time...but it's still 3 hrs labor.

Thats fine, i was expecting to be charged for man hours anyways. The thing that irritated me was the first time I called they said 3 hours and the second time I called the said 4.
