lift/shock suggestion 2015 sr5

I am going to go with a budget lift with adjustable bilstein 5100s in front at 2.5 and wanted suggestions for the back shock. Im going to run the OME 2895 rear springs. I have been told that the rear bilstieins may over extend. What can you offer or suggest as a better option with out being significantly stiffer.

I am also on the fence with tires 275/70/17 or 285/70/17. NOTE: I will be mounting on stock fj wheels 17x7.5
With the above set up would i get rubbing on the 285's? Ive read conflicting stories of rubbing. Worst case i know i can trim and move fender inserts, but hopefully wont have to.

I hope you mean the 2895 "E" cause the rear 5100 can only handle 2" of lift. The 2895 will give you nearly 3" of rear lift. So expect to see oil leaking from those shocks soon enough.

You're gonna need to trim the fender lining and part of the bumper itself if you want to fit 285s without rubbing, also depends on how beefy the tread blocks are. Keep in mind you're going to need an alignment afterwards. By maxing out the caster you will be moving the wheels forward slightly. Which means, more rub.

yes i am looking for suggestions on a rear shock so that it does not over extend. Sorry if my post wasnt clear on that part. bilstiens up front and need suggestion to go with the ome 2895 E spring.(was told it was a 2inch lift)

Any input on the icon 2.0? It was suggested as a better choice than the bilstein rears. It has a little more travel(and can be found in stock so no waiting lol)

I thought the 5100s could go beyond that.

Just ordered some SAW 1.5s from Toytec with 5100s - and people are getting 2"+ out of those. Now I'm worried!

at 1.5inches the bill steins should be fine. just be extra cautious if you are getting the rear tires fully extended off the ground.
