I know Sn0wrunner has had them a while and can probably give us all some good reviews.

The KM2's are excellent tires. Not too loud on the highway. And awesome in the snow! I had all-terrains before and i wasnt sure how the mudterrains would perform in the snow. but they are great! Highly recommend these tires!!!

Just finished installing my lift this past weekend and got my tires installed a 2 days ago so i understand your excitement.

There is rubbing on the UCA as I mentioned above, but just ordered some Spidertrax to solve that. Would rather not do wheel spacers in general, but it's money well spent to not hear the wife complain about the sound when making a full radius turn - LOL!

While the spacers will solve the UCA clearance, it will probably introduce new rubbing. You'll most likely have to move your inner fender liner forward, and possibly trim some plastic on the outsides.

Hello folks,

I have an 06 4Runner Sport Edition 2WD with 50K miles on it. The X-REAS is torn. I have talked to technical support tech. at Toy Tec, and they advised me to get Bilstein 5100 Height Adjustable (product #C475) for the front and OME (product #N141) for the rear. What are your advices on this? I like the ultimate 3" lift package, but it is damm expensive, in addition I don't do off-roading. I just want the front to be lifted leveling with the rear. Do you folks buy suspension kits there and have an independent mechanic shop install it? Or else? Also, do you folks have a coupon at ToyTec? I try to save some bucks. If you are looking to only level your truck, then don't get OME for the back or it will lift it about 2.5" in the rear.

I have heard alot of compliments about Bilstein products, therefore I decide to get Bilstein products for my SUV. I just want the front of my SUV to be lifted leveling with with the rear. At same time I don't want to use stock springs for both the front and the rear, to minimize the cost. I have read a few threads from this website regarding lift, and I believe Bilstein 5100 Height Adjustable is most ideal for the front, but not sure about the rear. I want the rear to have Bilstein product on it as well. Unfortunately, ToyTec doesn't carry Bilstein product for the rear for 4Runner. without lift. So, should I buy Bilstein Height Adjustable Bilstein for the front and then go to other website to buy Bilstein product for the rear? If so, should I buy the Heavy Duty one or Comfort one? I want the degree of firmness and stiffness of both the front and rear would be the same? Please advise me HB 4x4 and other members here! Thank you folks very much.

looks great. tires are awsome! ive got the toytec COs & love em too. for h-bone, you might have to get the bilsteins from 2 different sites, but fatbobs garage has adj. coilovers at good prices , just do a web search for the rear matching shocks (#)

Regarding the most recent message I posted, I want to use stock springs instead I don't want to use stock springs.

i went with the complete coilovers up front cause i wanted/needed a much firmer front suspenion than the marshmellowy stock setup. ( terrible nose dive/sway when turning,etc.) the rear stock springs were left in , just changed shocks. btw- h-bone,if your going to raise the front 2 in. & run larger tires, you might want to think about somewhat firmer springs, i know it coasts a bit more but... 3 in. lift in front without raiseing the rear is too much - 1 & 1/2 - 2 should be enough & still leave ya a 1/2 - 3/4 in. rake, otherwise youll look slightly nose high.

I have ordered Bilstein 5100 Height Adjustable for the front at Toytec and Bilsten 5100 HD for the rear at shockware.com. I will use stock springs for both the front and the rear. I will lift the front for about 1 to 1.2 and keep the rear at the same height. When I called Toytec, they recommended me to use OME N141 HD, but I have heard OME N141 quality fades fast. Anyway, once I receive those shocks and install them, hope they don't give me hard time.

I just had this lift kit installed and Im playing hell trying to get it not to torque steer! Mine is the AWD limited V8, it rides straight down the road but if I gas it moderatly to heavy it torque steers slightly to the left. Ive had an alignment done at 2 different places and still this problem remains, also my tires are properly balanced and as far as I know the lift kit was installed correctly. Any ideas?

like i said, the rear springs will be ok with the 5100, ( they are firm enough) but i think you should go for a new full coilover for the front. the stock spring in the front, with the bilstein doesnt seem to be as good a setup cause theyre not really matched for each other. the spring & shock should compliment one another.

I understand what you have been posted, Chaz. And thank you very much for replies, I am well informed by you. Chaz, when I talked to Toytec regarding the front, they said Bilstein 5100 Adjustable Height for the front is perfect for the stock spring in the front. And OME N141 Heavy Duty is perfect for stock spring in the rear. So I bought Bilstein 5100 Adjustable Height for the front from Toytec and decided to buy Bilstein 5100 Heavy Duty for the rear from shockware.com. Now I worry once I installed those shocks in with stock springs, my 4Runner will have some issues. So I have not opened the boxes to take look at those shocks because I am thinking about returning them. As well, I stopped by an independent mechanic shop, and a mechanic there told me that since my x-reas has not been leaking yet, he believes, Toyota dealer can service my x-reas by bleeding the hydraulic fluid to let the air out or refill the hydraulic fluid as it might needed. He told me the x-reas shocks can last up to 150K miles easily. So I am kinda holding back might thought about install the aftermarket. The reason I bought those shocks because my x-reas bouncing badly, it is definitely needed to replace. However, the x-reas is showns no sign of leaking at all. And I know replacing new x-reas is damm expensive. So I rather go with the aftermarket with a litttle bit of lift in the front. Do you know can x-reas be serviced instead replacement.

No I did not use the stock springs OR bilstein shocks, I bought the "Ultimate lift kit" which comes with Toytec adjustable coilovers and toytec rear springs with procomp es5000 shocks. it also includes a diff drop kit.

orion, is your problem in the rear with the new springs & shocks or the front with toytec coilovers? what did you set them at? mine are set for only 2 in. lift upfront,& ride great at all speeds, ive got an 06 with v8 also, i know sometimes if you set the coilovers higher than 2 , without proper adj. the front may wander a bit, even shift sideways when going over a bump. when i received my toytec CO, i lowered the adj. it comes set from factory with a higher than advertised 2 1/2 lift. maybe try cranking it down so only 1/2 -3/4 of an in. of thread shows. (i believe 1 & 1/2 shows when you get em) im wondering if you raised the vec. more than 3 in. if so, even with the diff. drop , you may get some issues, if its everything is not adjusted right.

Thanks Chaz, you may be right, FYI it comes from the factory with 1 and 3/4 inches of thread showing which equals a 3 inch front lift ( I only know cause I called them during the install ). Im gonna check that next because the yahoo I had do the install said he couldnt even get the coilovers to adjust? I think he was just a little slow. Thanks again! :bigok:
