I have a 2000 SR5 Sport (Highlander) and within the last week my liftgate is strugling to stay open, so it's probably time for new struts/supports. I'm not sure if the previous owner replaced them and was wondering if anyone can tell me if the original struts were from KYB? I snapped a quick photo of the label for reference, note no part number listed on the label.
I checked KYB's website and could not find any information on replacement struts for the liftgate. So, I'm left wondering if I should pick up a pair of OEM at the dealer, or if I should get the StrongArms off of Amazon. I've read that several people haven't been pleased with the Monroe replacements and most seem to favor StrongArm. Please feel free to share your experiences.
