Thought someone might remember this lighting set? A few years ago, I saw a light bar advertised in the back of Off Road magazine, or a mag similar that looked kind of like a light bar from a cop car...angled back like a spoiler, clear lexan, holding a couple of sets of lights...I thought it was called "blazer" or "lazer"...something like that. Can't find any reference with an internet search (using wrong name?)...does anyone remember this?
And has anyone tried retrofiting the light bar from a Jeep Liberty? Molded plastic, 4 lights, aero from the top of the windshield back?

this is not it is it? I have seen the top one in person in a 40" bar, and it is insane how bright it it.

Nope...the one I'm thinking of was offered prior to LED and HID technology and would house mabey 6 rectangular lights. Lexan angled cover (like a cop bar) and mounted similar to the old Cepek light bars...???

I know exactly what you are referring to, 007, but I also haven't seen them in many years. The stuff I've seen recently is from Rigid Industries--LED light bars that come in a number of lengths, up to a long of 50", and they light up the place like a whole row of huge HID's. They sound pricey, though (I've seen them in someone's post elsewhere, not on their home site). If you're interested, and they don't come up under "Rigid", I'll dig up the link.

Yep! That's the one(s)...no longer available huh? Figures. I thought it was something like "Lazer" or "Blazer"...whatever...my thought was a string of projectors (kind of like the picture) , low profile, aero, plus the lexan to keep everything clean...so much for my idea, but thanks for the info, I'll keep looking on EBay and the like now that I know what they were called.

Found one on CraigsList (Tampa)...guy wants 250 for it..no mention of lights, specs, or anything else. Thought I'd throw a pic of it here

OK, I'll come clean...I've got an idea for a modular, lighting / rack system for not only 4runners, but most flat roof SUV's that would incorporate the slanted front style of the previously shown light system, upgradeable, and able to be added on to as the owner needs or can afford. I've got most of the details covered, and able to be produced...just wondering about the demand...meaning...what do all of you think about something like this?
Upgradable lights, rack "system", all aluminum, completely self installable, wiring, switch panel(s), the whole deal in a box. Kind of a check the box type of order, and shipped...?
It's on the table for discussion...add details...or tear it apart...let's hear it.
