i had a cop come up to me, as im walking into school, and im like shit he saw me take up 2 parking spaces to park within inches of my friends wrangler (see image) but actually he wanted to know how i like the Nitto terra Grapplers i had and where the i got the Defender, he didnt care about my park job.

welcome to the Sequoia 10-spoke club! They look great in silver! I'm so used to mine that yours almost threw me off hahaha
 
Good looking tires, great looking wheels. I would've gone with the black out, but that's just me.

I will say that I do love how easy the standard 5 spoke wheels are to clean. I've got a set of BBS wheels on my other car, and the wheels on my 4runner take about 20 minutes less to clean every time I wash it :)

I guess that's the price you pay for cool wheels!

Thanks man. Drove in some rain last night and they did fine. They are a little stiffer than my old tires, but that's to be expected since I went up to a LT tire.

Yeah, I was thinking about going with black and it's still an option, but I didn't want to spend another $200 right now to get them powder coated. They are definitely easy to clean.

It's basically the same skid plate, but I think that one is for the 4th Gens.

I'm surprised you asked about my camera it's like a 5-6 year old Panasonic Lumix, but it still gets the job done. :)
 
Looks fantastic! That wheel/tire combo is on my to-do list. Right after I get the tranny figured out.
 
So did you have any trouble getting the tires balanced? Reason I ask is, I got the same tires last month and the douche bag techs at NTB took 3 attempts to get them balanced properly. I'm 90% sure that the tires are fine and the techs were just incompent, but thought I'd see if you had any similar issues.

I don't think so. I dropped it off and just let them do their thing then came back when it was ready. I think it has a little more weight on them then my old ones did, but not that much.
 
I've been reading several of your posts, and wanted to know your thoughts about the Duratracs vs. LTX now that you have put a few miles on them? I know you had the Michelin AT, and I currently have the LTX M/S. How do they compare to the Duractrac? Btw...Your rig looks great and the new rims and tires look sweet!
 
Oh hell yeah your 4Runner is lookin good now.. You should definitely do the rear mud flap removal mod, and maybe paint the rims black?

The Duratracs ride a little rougher for sure and aren't quite as smooth on the road as the LTXs. It rained on my way back to school Sunday and they were fine, although it wasn't a really hard rain.

I've only put like 40-50 miles on them since I'm in college, but so far I really like them.

I've been thinking about cutting off that plastic for a while now, just haven't gotten around to it.

I definitely thought about painting the rims black, but didn't want to spend another $200 right now. I might do that down the road.

What In-Channel Vent Visors are yours i really like how they dont stick out too much?
