I see the same crossing guards everyday when I drop off my kids at school. Yesterday, last day of school. I see them as usual. This little boy walks up to the regular guard. Gives her a big hug and then hands her a little piece of paper, it's a thank you card.

I see a 60ish old lady light up brighter than the sun with a coke a cola giant smile.

I pull up and say "does that little piece of paper and the hug makes it all worth it?" Quick response, yes, that's why she has been doing it for 25 years.

That put a smile on my face, and I still have hope for humanity!

I'm about to go chow down on a hog that has been feeding on grass fed artisan ice cream waste since last fall.

Freaking one upper you, lol....I just llost another 3.5lbs since last week. Total of 7.5 since may 28! And I'm not trying just working out at this new gym I joined. It's a kick boxing gym.

Was looking for ah spare wheel for the hankook dynapro mt i have and ran into this at part ah part. 15x8 better then the other crap that was their. They had some good steel ones but all was used too hold junk cars up. Waste.:redbrick:

There's a place called Columbus Idea Foundry that has all kinds of crazy stuff you can learn. Columbus Idea Foundry

If nothing like this exists around you could always take classes at a community college even.

It's another tool in my toolbox if I decide to pick one up, may try craigslist before buying something new. I think it would be great build simple things, maybe a porch railing down the road, other misc.

What a cool idea. Thought about doing them at the CC but that's $$ and seems geared toward people who want to weld as a career, not just the hobbyist. if I had space i'd just buy a damn welder and learn myself.

This is a weird thing to be happy about, but I found out that I have a rare disorder called Idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura (which means my body creates antibodies that destroy platelets).

I think this is awesome, though because when I was told that my platelets were low the first things that are brought up are things like leukemia and myelodysplastic disorders (my grandfather died from Myelodysplasia).

Oh, and my platelet levels were up 10K this week. :banana:
