thanks for the tip on the Diehard Platinum 35 as a drop-in replacement for the OEM Panasonic, [MENTION=55815]Okki[/MENTION]. i'm seeing its specs as 850 CCA with a 130 reserve.Diehard D35 deep cycle for aux, Diehard Group 31M for primary when your current stock battery goes bad. Or you can simply fit Diehard 35D's in both locations.
If you get a Group 31M, you get 1150CCA instead of the 740CCA of the 35D.

All the platinum series Diehard batteries are deep cycle:

I don't have any details on the Toyota TrueStart battery series and didn't take any pictures of the specs on the unit before I turned it in, so I can't give you any answer there.

great build man, you ever think about doing the door handles? where did you get the trail rear and front bumper? im debating whether to get shockworks front bumper and trail rear w the shockworks TE rocker pannel or just the TE front and rear, if so how much and do you think they are OEM fit to a SR5?

I just plast dipped my door handles recently actually.
It would cost too much for me to fully replace them with the TE ones.
That is a good idea to get an aftermarket front bumper. I may go that route in the distant future. I don’t think I will ever have the need to replace my rear, the TE sits up much higher than SR5/LE.
I don’t have my papers in front of me , but the whole thing cost me around 2000 with insurance claim, long story.
So for the bumper alone, I would think around 400 to 700 with parts, labor and paint. The problem is, you can’t replace the bumper without replacing the fender trim, which will now look different from your front fender trim.

Most of us bought parts from Dallas Toyota Toyota Part Sales of Toyota of Dallas, though I wouldn't recommend them. One of my rocker trim showed up banged up and the lady wouldn't budge about replacing it. There's another dealer people have been using, I just can't remember which exactly.

your door handles look great, i see you only did the outside part kind of, i tried to to the whole handle and some of it started to peel on the inside driver side and passenger side, this weekend im probably going to peel them all off and redo them how you did them...
I just did some more research on the parts and it looks like ill be going the aftermarket route and im leaning toward to shockworks front bumper with no upper tubing or lights in a black powder coat and the TE rocker pannel trim (for the ground clearance & tired of plastidipping my chrome strips every couple months 7 coats), plus i tried removing the original skirts and its really an unfinished look.
The one thing Im really interested in is the rear bumper, with the shockworks stuff that im buying i want to sort of match my ground clearance and not have a lower hanging bumper. with that rear fender trim how far does it come up? is it just to the rear doors? if so i can just plastidip my fender trim.
Im torn between pressing checkout on shockworks.com and purchasing a bullydog triple gt tuner from autoanything.com for $580

Do it! I would go with a BudBuilt, personally like the way his looks without the upper tubing.

For the rear, you can get the CBI rear bumper without the tire carrier, I have seen them in person and actually like them quite a bit. The only problem with those is the weight. The clearance between CBI and TE bumper isn't much, but it's steel
.I took some photos for [MENTION=62034]Keemonrunnin[/MENTION] to show the difference in the trim between TE and LE, it's a different size and look all together.. So can you get away with just painting the front ones, sure.. it wont be a match for match though. Keemo - do you still have those pics I sent you, I can't find them.
Shroworks also makes LE-Like skirts, I would go that route, it's cheaper.

cant thank you enough [MENTION=75328]DannyLlama[/MENTION] , ill be doing my research these next couple days for the rear bumper, i wish shockworks made a simple rear bumper like they do for the tacoma, with the shackles and higher clearance, i drive to the city and take the highway everywhere, occasionally up to my quad and offroading in binghampton ny but i dont need a tire carrier.
I really like the look of the aftermarket bumpers without the top tubing (i have a grillcraft upper so i think it would look real nice) all i need is smoked headlights...now the cost and weight come in factor, i was looking into the 4x4 labs front bumper thats still in production but i emailed them and thats about 1500, shockworks is about 1300+, im going to look up the CBI now, i like that one bc it keeps the stock dtrl, that i have vinyl wrapped.

Anza Borrego
I recently went on a solo trip to local state park (desert) called Anza Borrego.
I tried to schedule it when other people can go do a group camp.
That didn't work out, so I decided to do a solo trip, which would have been my first time. I have to give it up to the folks that do this often, because I gotta say it does get some getting used to but definitely something that everyone should experience. It's amazing the things we take for granted, society and social groups at basics. 3 days alone, I had a lot of time to reflect, almost too much reflecting. Not to mention I was psyched out about loosing power to the truck, getting lost, having a flat, etc... Any of those would ended up in a one man job.
Anyways, I was hoping to get there during the day but didn't get there until 10 at night, and drove around until I found a good camping spot. This photo is during the day the next day

For anyone who has a jetboil for the purpose of making coffee, I found this little filter on amazon, works very well
Was waiting around all day for these guys to show up and when I finally gave up and went to take a nap in the tent, they came through and I got an ICE refill WOOT WOOT!!
It was a short visit but very welcomed
