LLC vs SLLC in 3rd gens

Since Toyota went to SLLC in 2004, should I be putting regular LLC in my 3rd gen with the 50% mix of distilled water?

Wondering this because a jug of SLLC is 26 bucks on amazon and LLC is 32 (or 16 per jug when diluted)

Any difference with the specs?

I only use Toyota OEM Long Life Coolant. These engines were made to run with that coolant and not Super Long Life Coolant. SLLC contains sebacic acid, while LLC contains benzoate instead, which is a more traditional corrosion inhibitor. Basically some of metals inside our radiators can be corroded away from SLLC, while LLC has the ingredients to keep corrosion minimal. SLLC was made for newer Toyota engines and should only be used on those (4th gen +).

it is ok to use the super long life coolant as long as:

1. you do not mix it with another type of coolant.
2. if you have previously used the yellow or green coolant, you need to do a full flush of the cooling system and the heaters using distilled water. tap water is ok if it is considered to be soft, not hard water.
3. if your cooling system and heaters do not have brass or bronze fittings. brass or bronze will react with the red/pink coolant and form solid particles that will continue to grow and block the passageways causing overheat later on.

i have been using the toyota red/pink coolant since 2004 with no issues. if it's not compatible with our trucks, then toyota would surely give a warning.
