I picked up a Loadwarrior and the locking brackets for it for under 200.00 today on Craigslist. I couldn't pass it up.

I have the TE rack with factory cross rails. Is there a way to mount it lower than how it was originally designed to mount. I want it to sit as low as possible. Anyone have a solution. I haven't had too much time to look at it tonight and I don't think there is a way to flip the bracket but I'm open to suggestions.

I don't know how it would. It has to sit on the crossbars to support the weight. It is what it is.

I get the factory mount I was just wondering if someone got creative with it.

The factory crossbars are already very close to roof. And when rack is loaded they almost touch. No way to get closer then that.

Armor Tech makes some U bolt mounts that seat the rack lower. Granted these are for the 4th gen TE (tube style) and designed for the Rola, but it may be worth a look to see if dimensions work or you can build off of it...

Thank you. The Armor Tech mount wont work on the Loadwarrior but it gives me an idea and a place to start. I would have to weld on side rails to make it work but may be doable.

Maybe someone else has done what I am looking for.
