Located my glove box rattle but have no idea what this is or how to get to it...

I've had a glove box area rattle go quickly from bad to worse in the past 2 months. Today I finally located the culprit, but I have no idea what this thing is or how to get to it.

After listening with someone else driving, I determined the rattle was coming from either behind the glove box or behind the airbag assembly under the glove box. I popped off the cover on the left side of the interior of the box, and started reaching around. Turns out it's this white thing and the wiring harness below it that is loose -

It makes a distinct clicking noise when it moves, which just happens to be over every bump in the road. The white thing appears to be a bracket of some sort that houses something square that my SR5 non-navi does not have. I have no idea. Anyway, this whole thing is way loose and driving me crazy.

Anyone know how to get in behind the glove box to tighten this thing up, or at least wrap it in foam? Or if you know what this thing is, does it even have a way to tighten?

This is the VERY BEST glovebox removal thread that I've seen anywhere! SWEET! Thanks rigtec. Interestingly, it appears the white bracket in question is not empty in Dingo79's pics. I'm guessing it holds something for the navi system. Hard drive perhaps?

I'll tackle this next weekend and see if I can tighten this part up.

I would try shoving a small piece of foam rubber around the part that is rattling before tearing the whole thing apart. I have fixed many rattles over the years this way. I also use the non hook side of stick on Velcro if the squeak is coming from 2 plastic areas.

I hear ya, but this is pretty easy to get back there. I'm thinking there is more than just rubbing. Something is actually loose.

Removed the glove box today. It was a loose bottom screw on that white thing, which is the RH ECU Integration Box, whatever that is.

And this is the screw. It was the single lower screw, and it was really loose. I'm not sure how it could have done that on it's own. Most likely never fully tightened from the factory, and after 5 years finally started to pull out. That one loose screw caused that entire box assembly to rattle over every bump in the road.
