I am wanting to get rid of my open differentials on my new 4runner.
I have posi on my xterra and I do love it, but no posi-type units appear available for 5th generation diffs.
I have never driven a Detroit-locker equipped vehicle, but I understand they take getting used to. An air locker seems preferable, at least for the rear.
Has anybody used a Detroit-type locker in front, and an air locker in back? The front-wheels driveability should not be a concern, as the front diff would only lock when under power in 4wd, if I understand correctly.
Thanks in advance.
