Loctight and removing wheel Help please.

So I put on spacers last week.. I bought a torque wrench to make sure they were torqued correctly and also put on loctight....

Question so I am taking off my tires right now...do I check/retorque the spidertrax bolts to make sure they are still tight?

Or.... by checking the bolts it will break the loctight free and defeat the purpose and effectiveness of the loctight?

You're supposed to verify the torque spec on them after 100 miles or so.

When I installed mine I just torqed them to 100 ft/lbs with loctite and called it good. I figured checking them would make the loctite useless, so I gave it a few more lbs on the install than the specs state.

Retorque them. If the locktight worked, they won't need any additional pressure and won't break loose. If you have to give them more twists to get back to torque, then you know the locktight didn't do it's job.

I assume you used the Loctite removable thread locker? So if you tighten them more it will break loose and you would have to reapply the Loctite. At this point if you take the tires off and see that the spacers are not loose then leave them alone. imo.

What Kid Vermiscious said - if they didn't come loose, you won't defeat the Loctite.

For example: say you applied Loctite and torqued them to 100ft/lbs - if you go back and recheck them with your wrench set to 100 again, they won't budge and break the Loctite loose if they stayed tight.

Thanks guys... first time i ever used loctite... I left the bolts alone they all looked tight and I figured if I tried to torque them it would break the strong bond and defeat the purpose of it.
