Long Island Shops`

I tried to post this in the Regional area, but I don't know if anyone has seen it. So ill throw it out here since I know there are a lot of people from the Metro New York area on this forum. Im looking for a good shop to do some suspension work on my 15' Trail. I tried searching for this but the words "Long Island Shops" really don't turn up any good threads. So if you have one that you know of, or have had work done at please let me know.

Not sure if theres a thread, or one that we can create with the help of the community to generate a state/regional list of recommended shops and then make it a sticky? So if you have a shop you can recommend please throw it down below with an address/phone number/contact person/estimated hourly rate, and we can begin to organize it.

Also, in the past a few of us have used Prestige Toyota in Kingston for lifts and such. A bit of a drive (depending where you are on the Island) but their an option. Another option could be Main Line Overland, located in Westchester, PA

There's this guy ..

RMS OFF-ROAD

but I personally can't recommend them. They will refuse to do things the way most guys here do them.

There's also The Truck Shop in West Sayville. Pretty good shop from what I know of them.

I used a mechanic from my local Toyota dealership, but their rules have changed and the techs can't use the shop anymore.

Depending on what you need done, you can always come see me at Riverhead Toyota. Unfortunately you'll be getting hit with dealer service rates, so I can understand the independent shops. The only other shop that I have a relationship with is RMS and Richie will always explain the pros and cons of different suspension set ups along with any other questions you have.

Yep, they (RMS) turned me away when I had my 2008 4Runner because the XREAS Suspension. They do very good work though.

Try "the truck shop" in Sayville. I hear they do good work (never had any done myself) but I have bought stuff from them with out problems. And again like like blackandtan said about local dealer, I use sunrise Toyota for everything.
