Hello all!
Been a "non-participating" member here for a long time but the wife just picked up a '99 Limited a couple of days ago, so I figured it's time for an intro. We've been fans of 4runners for years but never owned one ourselves. I had a '92 Landcruiser for a few years so 90's Toyota's just feel right.
My wife found this gem on the local craigslist and wanted to go look. It has 173,700 miles and has been owned by a single elderly lady for the last 17 years. She put a whopping 80k on it over the time she owned it. All work was done at shops and the dealership and the interior is CLEAN. Re-upholstered leather seats in the front overall great condition. There are all the typical little plastic buttons and knobs that are broken and need replacing. As well as the paint wear on the hood and what not. We are very pleased.
The original radiator had a small crack in the top so I replaced that last night with new radiator hoses. Next up will be figuring out some upgraded lighting, fixing the dials for the temp/fan control. Then maybe a stereo upgrade so the wife can have CarPlay and screen for a back up camera.
Until she's done with it, we'll keep most upgrades/repairs geared towards comfort and reliability, but when she moves on, the fun off-road stuff will on the way!
