Long Travel Axle Shaft Length

I'm in the process of installing a +3.5 LT Camburg kit on my truck, and I'm having a small issue with my spare CV axle that I was planning to build.

I bought an individual spare 3.5"LT Total Chaos axle shaft from an open box listing from Metaltech.

My problem is that the axle shafts for my 3.5" LT Camburg Kit are not the same length as the spare 3.5" LT TC shaft. I'm not entirely sure why there would be a difference in axle length.

My problem is in 2 parts. I cannot return the TC shaft because of it being an open box purchase, so I'm stuck with it. The other part being, would the inner on the CV take up enough slack to offset the difference in length? Keep in mind, this is for a spare axle only to be used in a pinch.

It does seem odd. I sent this to Sam and his first thought was that the shaft sits different in the tulip end. I'm pretty sure when we built these the ring only goes in one way.

Did you figure out the solution to this? Are you okay to run the 3.5 shaft from TC? Any reason why camburgs shaft is shorter?
