That's what I was thinking too. I don't know if our trucks could handle that much travel and stay 4wd. You would have to completely redo the front end like a trophy truck I think. Of course, I don't know shit and could be completely wrong too! Lol

I saw somewhere hes working on a kit for 4x4, that should cycle close to the same travel. I think it uses custom joints for the cv to get more angle out of it. Wont be the 19" of the 2wd kit, but still more than the total chaos or camburg kit.

Trophy trucks are 2WD, too.
There's 3 classes of them. 2wd, 4wd, and the Lite ones.

Theres a guy building a cantilever setup for a 2nd gen taco that is eventually going to be a kit for all the 120 platform vehicles. That would probably be pretty interesting to do an LT setup with, his is paired with a SAS up front though.

I suck at multi quotes, but I'm pretty sure the kit on Jordan's truck in that video isn't the same one that DTF is going to market, pretty sure Jordan has the new one since then. Also I know his truck is in for a complete rebuild of just about everything so be watching that build.

I feel like I heard hes making a 3.5 over kit too, and the 6 over is what he calls the race kit. And Ive been following Jordans build. Think it just went in to DTF for his new long travel rear kit, full cage front to back and other stuff, but keeping the +6 DTF kit out front.
Theres also the FJ cruiser cantilever setup that should work with our trucks. But is very expensive and Im not sure its still being made.

Yeah I just went through Jordans build again, I think he had the setup before DTF decided to make it as a kit though maybe. He's had that setup a lot longer than anyone else I know of. And yeah that guy from Baja's rig is just insane.
Also I think any cantilever setup is going to be expensive just because of the metric shit ton of stuff going on back there, but its a better option imo than cutting into the cab and having shock mounts in the rear like a taco would with a bed cage.

I think the Metal Tech rear long travel is the best bang for your buck when it come's to rear long travel. I've been more than impressed by this kit on the trail.I feel like i'm getting the same amount of travel as this set above if not more and i've only disconnected one side of my sway bar so far and don't have my lower links on yet which are still limiting my full travel.

Very true. I wish I had the money or skill to build one. Apparently they cant quite keep up with a setup that has a longer shock through the bed or cab, since the shock is smaller and is much harder to tune. No doubt its cool though.
Yeah the metaltech is a good option for crawling over stuff, and does give a lot of droop. The advantage to the other one is the ability to use bypass shocks, which cant fit in between the tire and frame. Im impressed with what Ive seen from the metaltech, just because they got so much out of stock mounting points.
That link I shared earlier from TTORA has a cantilever rear setup. Pretty cool what he has done, but I wouldn't call it a DD anymore. lol
