Looked at a 5th Gen yesterday. Damn it looks huge next to my 4th...

I Have both and these are my Opinions

5th Gens look better than the 4th Gens Stock VS Stock.

5th Gen is Quicker than my 4th gen.

I like the Manual Transfer case in the 5th Gen Vs Electric in the 4th.

The Interior in the 5th Gen Is cramped (feels like a car)

The trail seats in the 5th Gen are uncomfortable.

The 4th Gen is simpler overall and has more interior room.

The Locker is cool in the 5th Gen but I have anxiety about offroading a 40k truck.

All in all they're Completely different vehicles. Drive one and you will notice instantly.

I kind of like the 5th gen's boxy apperance. Its grown on me since it came out, but the lack of features and interior's ergoomics compared to the 4th gen severely turned me away, that and a lack of a V8 power plant. They are also more expensive than the 4th gens were when they came out and have less features.

But I have to admit, I've seen some built up 5th gens on the 120 forums and they look nice when done right.

The 5th gen is an odd beast... at a glance I'm not much of a fan, yet, sometimes when I pass one on the road it will catch my eye and hold it in a good way. I agree with CookieRoe, I look forward to the next update.

I agree totally, I am enjoying my V8 and 4gen style. I think the 5gens can be great but they need to be modded, I am liking the refresh on the new 2012 Tacoma's and am looking forward to see that changes will be made to the 4runner.
