Looking at a 1998 Toyota 4Runner 2.7L 4 cylinder Auto 4wd loaded

Going to check out a 1998 4Runner looks to be in nice shape. This would be my primary driver. Has a 2.7 L 4 cylinder. I use to have a 2002 Tacoma and loved it.

I do tow a 6x10 trailer with a garden tractor on it. Should I have any concerns overall ?

I would verify VIN/ mileage, and have a mechanic check it out if you're not comfortable doing it yourself or don't know what to look for.
Other than that, it looks pretty clean. If all checks out, I would buy it. GL!

I have a 2000 with a 2.7 auto. I do tow with it, but believe me, it's not easy. I generally tow less than 1000lbs and it kills any semblance of fuel economy or normal driving. Want to pass that car? Forget about it.

I have towed bigger loads a few times, not fun either but it will get you there. I generally switch to my LC for the heavier stuff. The bigger challenge is brakes, I've warped two sets of rotors in 10K miles. I'm shopping for 16" wheels so I can get tires. Then I'll do the Tundra brake upgrade. So I guess you just need to understand the limitations. If you towed everyday, I'd say this isn't the ideal truck for you. Otherwise, you decide.

Very good price, I think anyway. Yeah I'm sure it can handle 900 + the trailer weight, probably another 600-900lbs. Like any other towing, take off slow and ez and brake well ahead of time. :^)
