Looking at a 2001 4Runner Limited. With Picture

Just a quick question, what do you mean by "wobbley" in the steering wheel? Did the wheel want to jump out of your hand when you went over a bump? Just wondering because these trucks can have issues with the play in the wheel.

Sorry dude but you were ripped off. $8000 is a fairer price for a 4Runner w/ 150k miles.

I bet it is all original as well. You will easily have $3000 is maintenance by the time you hit 225k miles, assuming you take it somewhere for the work.

OP, those low miles are good but the price is still pretty high.

Depends what part of the country your in. I paid 11K for my 01 Limited 4wd @ 99K. Very happy so far. Is that one a 4wd? Big option there. Mines similar...

I paid 10.5 k for my 2001 SR5 5 years ago, and it was a cream puff... price seems WAY high, but these vehicles ARE in demand... I wouldn't go above 10k personally, especially if it still needs all the maintenance i.e. timing belt, LBJ's, trans cooler + new rad. LOVE that color though, way nicer than Millenium Silver IMO

The "play" in the steering wheel is caused by looseness in the upper steering column shaft. There is a repair thread on the yotatech forum about the problem and how to repair it. Mine has it, I think pretty much all the rigs with the tilt wheel have it. In 100 K miles I have not gotten around to fixing it..

I picked my 2001 limited last February with 150,000 miles on it and paid 11,200....So ya, I think its a good price.

Just to be clear, I think the second poster paid too much since it has 150k miles. $11,500 is way too much for 150k miles.

These trucks have a limited life. It is very reasonable to expect major maintenance and even serious failures at 200k miles. So if you have 150k miles well then the truck really only has 3 years left as a reliable daily driver (note I said reliable not functional).
