I was hoping to get some feedback. I currently drive a 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited with the 5.7 V8 and Quadra-drive 2. The vehicle is paid off, but has 105k miles on it. My wife has recently been promoted and has a company car, and so we are considering selling my Jeep and trading her 2011 Kia Sorento fwd I-4...
Her Sorento is incapable of towing our boat, and so keeping it isn't in the cards. We originally looked at newer Jeeps, but there just isn't a lot of them optioned the way I would want local. She loves the new bodystyle 4R and I had previously kicked around the idea of one when I purchased my Jeep. We went to our local Toyota dealer and pretty much fell in love. 2012 4R Magnetic Grey, cloth interior only options 3rd row seating... has running boards. MSRP was $35,700. Saleslady e-mailed us a quoted price of $33,199 plus tax. We e-mailed back that it was too high, and advised if she could do better to let us know.
So what are your opinions. What would be a good deal... I have seen people getting non-loaded TE's in the $34k range... Normally I like some options but to get into a "new" 4Runner I'm willing to give up most of them... however I expect a pretty good deal on a vehicle whose only option is a fold away third row which our Sorento also has.
Thanks in advance!
