Looking To Buy A 3rd Gen, Need Advice

Not the original owner. It was a South Carolina truck until recently. Not sure about service records yet, just contacted him. He said he bought it with intentions of doing some major off-roading, but he said it's just too nice for that, so he bought a beat up one and is selling this one. It's sharp. From the pics, there is zero body damage and like I said, no rust. Inside is very nice as well

Then buy it. I know the waiting sucks but if you let it go it might take months or even a year to find another one in that condition. You might find one cheaper locally but you know it's going to be rusted out.

If I was in the market for a 3rd gen I'd look in the south west. Fly there & drive it back.

I was searching in 3 states in a 300 mile radius. If it was the perfect one, I was willing to spend a day driving to go see it.

Think about how far you are willing to drive in a day and expand your search radius.

What do you think about buying a 2004 with 213k miles for 7 grand. New brakes, tires, and suspension. It's a v8 limited with every option(nav, JBL) it is in good shape and looks good. I know it's not a 3rd gen, but does that sound fair?
