Looking to buy: Is this a good deal? (2005 Sport Edition V8)

Hey everyone,
I'm new here so I apologize if I'm posting this in the wrong section.

I have a Mazda RX-8 that I drive every day and it's really not all that practical so I'm looking to buy a 4Runner. (always just loved these things)

I went and saw this car on Friday but it was getting late when I arrived so I didn't get to spend much time there.
Problems I saw with it: the front right headlamp had quite a bit of moisture in it. Is this a common issue? I only ask because this is quite common on the rear lights on RX-8's. (I searched and didn't find much on them so I'm assuming I can dry it out and then just reseal it?)

Also, the interior wasn't as clean as I'd like but I'm sure I can fix that over the course of a weekend with a little elbow grease



What are your thoughts?
I've just started shopping for 4Runners so I figured I'd go straigh to the best source out there; current owners.

A couple of things I noticed:

-Not 4 wheel drive (dont know if this matters)
-make sure it is the v8, the hitch is correct, but there should be a V8 emblem in the front grill
-The stereo is base (non JBL) again, I dont know if this matters to you
-Headlight isnt a big deal, either reseal with silicone or buy a new one off ebay
-mileage is a bit high

That mileage is nothing!!! Seriously though, an 05 with 80k means it was a highway king - nothing wrong with highway miles at all. You can go lower - tell them you have an expensive 90k service coming up.

I say definitely go for the V8 - the low end torque/pwer will blow your tiny Wankel engine out of the water.

OOps just read its 2wd. A 2wd SUV is an oxymoron, if you dont plan on going off road and dont get snow where you live then it should suit your needs; however, 4wd traction in all weather is unmatched.

2005 T4R ... no 4x4?

Hey Jedi, I myself just purchased a 07 T4R and are new to this site aswell but would like to comment. The gents in here are right...mileage aint chit on a Toyota and as far as the 2wd... well that just depends totally on you and where you live. Also on the enterior, it looks in good shape to me, plus you have to think about the potential this T4R has, a weekend of elbow grease is indeed required and should be the least of your worries, as long as the leather has no tears on it. '05 V8 came standard with the weight distributing hitch (the one in the pic), 06-09 the hitch was optional. You might have an aftermarket hitch on your truck.

Ive been thinking about selling mine, havent posted it yet so you get first shot. First off Im a Lexus cert technician and a Toyota enthusiast. Other than the fact I neglect washing the thing I take good care and modify my cars with good taste and passion.

I KNOW im forgetting stuff but feel free to come and see it for yourself. I painted some of the silver accents on the front and rear bumper to match the truck and it looks better.

The TRD supercharger is awesome. I have a second ECU for a 4dr Tundra that's less power but slightly better millage. Or I can install an AEM FIC and make ALLOT of power with prob the same millage.TRD made it too rich on the top end and too much timing on the bottom.

I made the intake and exhaust for it and its a great combo. low sound slight drone. there should be a link in my sig below.

I will put back to stock any part of it that you dont like.
