I do agree with you that factory options do add value, BUT only if it's something that is desireable and in demand. For example, I, personally, have not seen a GS or SE sell for more than a comparable LS (same year, mileage, condition). The reason being, none of the "upgrades" appeal to the Acura crowd. But you get into the GSR or ITR, then yes, the factory upgrades add a ton of value. Same principle applies here. The particular upgrades on this SR5 do not add to the value of the vehicle, IMO, because it's nothing that sets it apart or is in demand. If it had a hood scoop, color keyed bumpers, auto climate control, etc., then maybe I could see a price bump, but at that point, why not just get a Limited or Sport? (which is what is also being suggested).
The bottom line: It's a 3RD GEN SR5. More and more 4th gens are coming into the market, driving the prices down for the 3rd gens. Paying anything close to 4th Gen prices is idiotic.
On a side note, I've always liked the USDM fronts way better than JDM's on the Integra. I don't know why people got so giddy over those Accords.
I think the other thing people is missing is how low of miles this truck has. Would I pay sticker for it? Nope. But if it really had full records with it and it being 4WD I personally would probably pay about $15,500-$16,000 for it if it is super clean with records. I'm kinda biased though, because I don't like 4th Gens and given the choice of this one or a 4th Gen I would pick this one.
My 02 2WD SR5 looks just like that with all those options except ThunderCloud Metallic, and I bought it from the dealership I work at for $500 over what they had in it in Sept 2006. They put new tires on it, oil change, air filter, and antenna mast. It has full records and has never been in an accident. I paid $13,500 OTD including tax, tag, title, etc. I'm sure people will say that's high too, but I also got great financing and didn't have to put anything down.
Also I like the JDM Type R front better than the projectors. :bigok:
