Looks like Spidertrax are in my future

I have been noticing on occasion having a rub in reverse at full lock under certain conditions since the Duratracs. This is not a fenderwell rub, you can feel it throughout the vehicle. When installing my trans cooler I noticed that the inside of the drivers side tire has a brown line around it from the dirt on my UCA. It does not look like it is rubbing enough to damage the tire, but I do not feel comfortable with any rubbing on anything that is harder than the tire. I was really hoping that I did not have to get the spacers as I tow my camper a lot and am not sure I am comfortable with them, but it happens I guess.

Anyone selling some used Spidertrax? LOL

Didn't you get Light Racing UCAs installed at the same time as your lift? One thing to consider is that wheel spacers might only move your rubbing from the UCAs to the liners. I just had an alignment done to try and eliminate some of my rubbing after installing spidertrax accompanied by some pretty liberal use of a dremel. They do make the stance of the truck look pretty nice though...

No sir, they got my alignment within factory spec without the UCA's so I never ordered them. My liners are already pulled and I have plenty of clearance there. I am going to chalk the hell out of the UCA and back around all over in a parking lot and see if there is any chalk marks on the tires. Maybe I just have enough dried mud built up on the UCA's that it is rubbing on that and not actually the UCA.

Brock- I have spacers and was concerned about towing with them as well.

They are $200 for a reason- quality. I was impressed with how well they were made. Just install them correctly with the locktite, and make sure the mounting surfaces are all clean and rust-free and you will be fine.

Side-note, I thought I read that a lot of aftermarket wheel users couldn't use the spacers due to wheel rubbing at the wheelwell? I dunno for sure- not a wheel expert...Just a thought.

I think it depends on the width and backspacing on the wheels. Even with stock TE wheels, 2.5" of lift, and the liners pulled forward I'm getting lots of rubbing with my 285s and 1.25" Spidertrax. Caster adjustment solves some of the rubbing, but a knife or dremel is needed as well.

Brock,
I feel your pain. I also don't like using spacers. I'm currently praying that my rim choice will let me get by without them after installing the suspension and UCA setup.

good luck.
