Not sure if this is a sign of an ignition coil about to go but all of a sudden my #1 coil is making a ton of noises like its arcing or something. Truck is running fine as usual. Never seen/heard of this. Any ideas ?

wait until dark and pop the hood, might see some arcing. either way, it shouldnt make noise at all so i would assume its going bad, or has gone bad.

Yes I can see arcing at the "secondary" plug connection to the plug wires..(I think it looks normal)... of course the noise sounds like arcing but not sure if that's what it is... I guess well see

Yes passenger front coil pack. Its hard to pinpoint exactly where its coming from. Funny you mentioned the loose spark plug. Had that happen to me before actually ... maybe ill double check that too.

Did you ever find the issue? I'm having what sounds to be the same problem.

Fixed it, loose spark plug was making the clicking noise. Simply put my hand on the ignition coil and could feel it vibrating with the click. Put a socket on the plug and it was hand loose. Hopefully this will help others in the future. My plugs/wires are only 10 months old so I guess it's time to check them all

You really should not see any arcing at all. Make sure the plug wire is in correctly / completely.
