loud squeeling when turning hard

Hey folks,

when turning hard left or right there is a very loud squealing noise. This is the only case doing it, it damn should be because waterpump, breaks ect are all brand, brand new.

I'm assuming it's the power steering belt???It has to be related to power steering I've narrowed it down to that.

If it is the power steering belt how would that be fixed?

you can try rubbing some soap on the belt which should help quiet it down (to make sure it is the belt). Replacement would be determined by your mechanical ability but they are not difficult.

I assume your belt is loose. If it is tight, pour little bit of water right onto the belt and see whether the sound disappears.

As a habit, I will not turn the wheel all the way to the end. This causes unnecessary pressure at the power steering pump.

Because of the issue it's already become a habit not to turn sharp, somtimes you just need a tiny bit more on a turn. The power steering fluid has been changed, cleaned of bubbles ect.

I'll give it the soap trick, if not I'll tighten it and if that fails get a new one.
