Hello world! Just got my new TRD Off-Road Premium in Nautical Blue Metallic about a week ago and have been online looking for some classic decals.

QUESTION: I want to change out the black roof rails for silver and wondering what the best/easiest/economical way to do this? Should I find someone to trade or paint them? I also saw some posts talking about plastidip or something like that? Thoughts??

I think most people are looking for the black rails, i would try to find someone that wants to swap with you.

w00t! congrats on the rig! The nautical blue was growing on me and was my second pick. If I went that route I was gonna put that gray/silver racing stripe on the side like the 90s Toyota Trucks had.

Where have you been getting vintage decals from? Mine's been looking kinda naked without anything on it.

As for the roof rails I would recommend trying to find a local group to trade with someone. I had silver on mine but traded with someone for black before adding a roof rack. Just make sure you get all of the hardware. Otherwise you could try to use vinyl if you have a heat gun and some free time.

They'll be black. I prefer black to silver on the Nautical Blue.

Roof bars, I'd ask to trade first and if all fails, you can either paint or plastidip.

My 4runner came with silver roof rack. I wanted black (the rest of the truck is blacked-out).
I vinyl wrapped the rails and bought black end caps.
I would have preferred to swap.
