Just within the past month or so my 1994 V6 4runner has been dying at stop signs and red lights. At first I thought it was a battery issue, charged the battery and replaced a bad battery terminal connector. I had thought this because it was not driven for about 2 weeks because I had surgery, not sure if it's relevant but I never noticed beforehand. Didn't solve anything, but then the cause of the issue got worse and more obvious.
The idle is usually around 750 rpm, but more recently it has been hovering around 500-200. The unusual part is how it acts. It isn't a steady low idle. It will pulse from 200 to 500 and then sometimes (seemingly more frequent) just stall completely.
I have searched extensively but haven't found anyone with a pulsing low idle.
