These are Jaos springs, and they will only work on models without Xreas.

How do you know they are Jaos springs??? They don't say Jaos on the springs. They don't even mention Jaos in the item description. If Jaos made some springs, wouldn't they put their name on their product?? (seeing as they plaster their name on everything else) I don't get how you came to your conclusion.

Do you know of any springs that will lower a 4runner WITH the X-REAS system?? Thanks for your time and info! I greatly appreciate it.

Does anybody have a picture diagram of how the X-REAS system works?? Thanks!

Battlez is a JAOS registered trademark. They are Battlez springs, made by Jaos. Jaos makes Battlez, and we've been selling them for about 5 years since they came out for 96-02 4Runners. They are made by Jaos, under the their suspension division called Battlez. The Battlez name in Japan is what is known to be the higher quality SUV springs.

For ex. Like Scion saying nothing about Toyota, and everyone knows Scion is Toyota. Same with these springs, when they talk about them in Japan, etc.

Again, as mentioned above, they will only work on models without Xreas.

well numba 1runner,ya see its like this,on the other boards i have been members of,such as viper forum(04 viper) porshe group(03 911 turbo s...(P.O.G) and the saleen owners group,ya have ta know what ya are talking aboout on those boards or you will get eat up,just a lot of testosterone over on those boards,so bear with me as i transition from my last few rides to this one and this board,i will calm down in a bit.i like this group so far,i think there needs to a be a few more posting on a few subjects,but thats another time and thread,i think i am gonna go now and give mr burtman a call on those springs and when i am done with this runna it will be everyones fav................scottputty

I work along with a bunch of guys at a Custom shop, where they specialize in Lowering and bagging Vehicles.

My boy's trailblazer is in there now getting bagged... 4wd.

In honesty I don't want my truck bagged. However I would like to level it out. So it's either daystar 1 inch lift in the front or I'm gonna end up cutting a link out of my rear spring, ghettoing it.


I wish they just sold rear leveling springs making it sit one inch lower.

Factory I'm guessing they calculated towing into it and therefore the reason of the slightly higher stance in the rear.

I really hope you are only thinking of lowering your 4runner for the sake of better handling. Otherwise, I STRONGLY suggest you buy a mini cooper, or a civic, or a passat or something else. Why would you waste the extra gas of having an SUV, a vehicle designed to have the ground clearance to make it over the tough stuff, when you can have a wagon that gets close to 30 mpg, doesn't rub it's tires on the wheelwells when it turns, and doesn't look mildly retarded sitting 4 inches off the ground?

what is it with you guys and the sanctaty of lowering this vehical.is it a sin to do this,man you guys are just really uptight,i will post a pic in a few days with the results ride height and any problems that i may have seen. i bet there will be a few others do this also once i have proven it can be do it with out compromise.and your options for lowering are a real joke....mini and civic,man you guys really think big huh.loolololol...........oh and by the way its a 2wd,not 4wd,i dont waste the xtra money with costly repairs from offroading and muddin

Exactly the type of response I would expect from someone who wants to lower a true SUV (Suburbans and Tahoes don't count).

A 2WD 4Runner lowered = poseur.

To anyone modifying their vehicle...

Some people view taking a $30,000 plus machine off road with the same disdain as those doing street oriented
modifications, but I can appreciate the thought and work put out in modifying any vehicle so it fits one's personal desires. You may not like what has been done to a vehicle for yourself, but you can still admire the effort put forth by someone in attaining their individual goal. Even though some would never consider a lift, off road tires, or a mega buck stereo system for their truck, I still greatly enjoy looking at what such others do to theirs.

I also agree that there are many vehicles much better suited for street use, but for whatever reason they may not meet
any one indivual's needs as well as a modified truck. Look at it this way. If the only market share the 4Runner had was for those
that solely wanted to off road, it most likely would have been discontinued some time ago. I think the figures are that only 10 to
15% of those sold ever see anything more challenging than a gravel road.

People buy a SUV, car, or truck for many different reasons or sometimes no reason at all. They just like the way it looks or any reason they want, mabey they just have money and don't give a shit. I would also like to drop the back of mine so it would at least sit level and not ass high. I have owned 3 lifted trucks in my life and I just want a to do something different with my 4runner. That is why I stopped posting here, I also got bashed. To post here you need a mostly stock 4runner or lifted one. Just don't click on post that you are not intrested in. :bigok:

I know that you probably didn't mean it, and you didn't think before you typed, but I do take offense to that because I, and my family is Mexican.
