LR UCA making noise

You read right, that is the same info, directions, I received.
When I installed, mine you, exactly like it shows on there, I had movement from side to side on the long bolt. A gap of 1/16" each side of the shock tower. That's when I made a call to SPC. They had to get back to me after they open a box to tell me that a washer the same size thickness as sent, but, smaller in diameter to put into the shock tower side.

This washers are the ones they where going to send me. They also told me they where going to make a change on the instructions to show that missing washer and add it to the instructions. This was about 2-3 months ago.

Oh okay, thanks a lot for the picture and clarification, so now I wonder...am I also missing this washer? I checked my box and it only has the 4 big ones, and metal sleeves. So I better contact SPC and have them send me some of those smaller washers too huh?

You are ok, you where sent 2 for each side, mine only was sent with 2 washers total, not 4. Look at the instructions, (PICTURE), it only shows 2 being installed, and that is what I did and had play in it. That's when I called for help.

Just put 2 on each side like I have on the photo.

Would the ball joint also have to be removed? Doesn't that stay attached to the UCA?

You can just remove the nut on the top of the ball joint adjuster and remove it from the uca.
If you do, mark the position good to put back in the same spot, you still might have to align if not, and probably would be best to do anyway.

Would I have to remove the battery to access all of the bolts? And all I would need to do this is a socket set right? Thanks for answering the questions so far, just trying to gauge how big of a project this will be just to fix this. Yeah I will consider doing the Firestone Lifetime Alignments, I don't know if it's worth it or not since I already get alignments for $60.

Any thing you had to do to install the long bolt section, you will have to do again to remove the uca.

So, battery, rubber guards, ect, on install will be the same to remove to replace. Just leave the ball joint on and remove the adjustable nut and pull out of position.

Have any problems, IB me, no problem with ?'s.

I had a shop install them originally because it was late December. They definitely didn't remove the battery though because my trip computers were not erased.

OK, your going to have some fun. You can just remove the hold down bracket and lift up the battery and plate and put a block under it. Leave the terminals connected. I'll see if I can find where I did the install write up. It will give you some more info to make things go easier. More obsticles I had.

I didnt have to take out my battery nor move it to do mine. You can easily do it without removing the battery. Granted i also removed my liners and also moved the brake bracket in the way and re-installed the bolt backwards than original location. Went very smoothly.

Yah, yah, yah, we know, you know how us old farts are. Need everything out of the way though.

It just made it easier though, didn't have 3 hands.

Edit: LTDSC- You have the v-8 like, NJ SHADOW has, you probably have a little more room than mine, v-6. Probably the difference.
