LR upper control arms

Read through a bunch of threads on UCA and would like to hear some feedback from people who have some mileage on the Light Racing ones.

Some of the past problems I found on these have me kind of concerned.

If it matters a 2'' lift.

I have ~ 100K on a set I put on my 2008 4runner with 2" lift. They still work like a champ.
That said, I just install a set of JBA Offroad UCA's on my 2015 4runner with 3" lift. Had it aligned and easily got +4 caster out of them.

My bet is you cant go wrong with either.

I've had them for almost 3 years. I off-road kind of a lot too and I have no real complaints other than I can't get to 4. caster for the life of me, Not even close either.... and I've tried many alignment techs. For the most part they work well for my 285's and 2'' lift, and I've had no issues of early wear like some, but if I could do it all over again i'd probably go with a uni-ball system. Camburg, total chaos and icon all make a respected uni-ball jointed uca's that are a little more $ but worth it in my opinion.

Have had mine for 4 years with no issues at all. First installed with Daystar 2 1/2" spacer kit, then swapped out spacers for Bilstein 6112's (adjusted to 2 1/2" lift) last year. No squeaks or clunking ever. Also installed a set on my buddies '14 Trail last year, no issues with his either.

Not sure why Bad_Influence can't get +4 degrees caster, mine are set to +4. Think the biggest issue is alignment techs don't know how to properly adjust. If the upper ball joint is indexed to "D" setting (+2), adjust lower control arm alignment bolts to achieve +4 caster, then adjust upper ball joint in or out to achieve proper camber spec. I think most just try to use lower adjusting bolts only and get a happy medium between caster/camber.

The only complaint for me is the finish, doesn't hold up well. But a light sand and a rattle can of gloss black..........good as new.

I also have a set on my 2008 4Runner with about 65K on them and they've been great. I have one balljoint with a little play in it but I have a new set ready to go in, just haven't had the time. Plenty of caster with mine as well.

That is strange that you can't get enough caster out of them. I have 4*+ easily and plenty of adjustment left.

I'm also guessing the tech's aren't setting the UCA's right. I've easily got 4*+ of caster.
