LT 285/60R18 on a stock 2016 TEP

I've seen other posts asking the same question- "anyone running these size tires on a 5th gen?". Unfortunately, there are never any responses w/photos. I'm hoping somebody can pass on their experience and/or photos. I just ordered a set of KO2's from Discount Tire in this size. I initially wanted 285/65r18 but was talked out of it due to rubbing issues. When i got home i started pouring over the interweb to find more info on this tire size but i didn't find many google images or vids on utube. This lack of info scares me into thinking people are staying away from this size for some reason.

I hope my Toyo-Bros will post some pretty pix or advise me against an expensive mistake.

The salesman said this size will fit a stock 4Runner w/out any mods/lifts. We will see.

With out a lift the biggest you could go with minimal issues it 275/70. Any other size you would at least need a lift for the clearance.

You don't see pics or vids because 18's are an uncommon size with limited choices. Instead of a thousand choices with 17's you have like six choices with 18's.

Last minute change

Ended up getting G2's in 275/55r20. I didn't like the KO2's and a tech at DT suggested the G2's. The guys were really great about letting me try on different tires and wheels. When I saw these wheels on the G2 it clicked.

Im currently running the G2 in a 305/60R18 (I could be wrong on the sidewall size) but anyhow its a nice tire but just a bit more on the slippery side then I would like when it comes to snow. Overall I really like it. Enjoy your new truck!!

Edit: I just saw you're in Texas so yeah you will be just fine haha
