Lubing the driveshaft - Mobil 1 question

Hello everyone,

I am ready to perform the job, and I found the Mobil 1 pink grease that everybody is talking about.

I found it in our local store, but it says that it meets NLGI specs, not NLGI2 that toyota recommends. Do I have the right product?

Another good option is Lucas "Red "N" Tacky #2". It is NLGI #2. I have used it for 4 years and it keeps the clunk at bay between greasing!

I recall reading the Toyota spec'd a NLGI lithium grease with Moly. I didn't see Moly in the grease when I checked Mobil 1 website. Maybe I missed it.

I have been using the Redline lithium grease w/ Moly.

For those wondering what Moly is: Moly is short for molybdenum disulfide, it is a dry lubricant added to some lithium synthetic lubes that bonds to metal surfaces which gives protection even when the grease gets pushed out or broken down.

I've used The Mobil One grease regularly since day one. Works fine. No problems!
