Made my 1st gen a little less UGLY PICS

Well, I decided to take of a few layers of paint and check for bondo and rust. I stripped it down to metal and found practically no rust and about 2TBSP of bondo. Not to bad IMO.

I am not body man so I did not even try to fix all the dents and dings, I just stripped, primed, and painted it to it would look fine for 15 feet away.

Remember this is just a 5th vehicle for me, and I plan on driving it every day to and from work to save miles on my 4th gens and by BMW.

Only if stay about 15-20 feet away... lol

we painted it in the wind (caused runs) and outside (caught some bugs) so it looks way better from afar or at night...

Mona Lisa? Good from far, but far from good? Looks great to me. Big improvment too. And like you said, it's not your #1 vehicle.

BTW, I think only a 4Runner nut like one of us would have multiple vehicles and then have a 1st gen as their commuter. :trophy:

I know...My wife may think I lost my mind. We have the 2 4th gens, I have the 83 hilux with the Lexus V8, the 98 Tacoma, the 68 FJ80L, and even a little AWD BMW......BUT I STILL NEEDED this truck for a DD.

To me it makes sense, to others....not so much..
