Made my own hitch mounted tire carrier

Wasn't thrilled with the offerings on the market, so I decided to DIY. Made out of mostly 3/16" walled tube with a few pieces of 1/4". Still need to wire in the license plate light and mount the backup camera (already ran the backup camera wire to the hitch via an extension harness). Also need to finish up my folding table that mounts on the back of the carrier. The rear of the tire is around 4" from the 4runner logo on the rear door. Already drawing up plans for a V2 with the main goal of shedding some weight and shifting the tire left a few inches. It's ~70lbs without the tire and I'd like to get it down to ~60lbs.

Looks great! I really like the tire being closer to the truck as well. Some of the company provided options leave it too far away for my liking.
