MagnaFlow 5th Gen Cat-Back System

I went with a borla muffler Turbo XL 40665 which is probably be a little louder than the Borla system because it is a bit smaller muffler at 19" L case x 9.5"W x 4"H and tip.

It is great around town, but towing and mountains on the highway is pretty loud / annoying.

Hi Topdeck, did they dyno your truck before and after? I'm sure you have some seat-of-the-pants feeling, but some actual numbers would be nice as well. Did they happen to do a sound profile before and after as well to indicate any increase or reduction in sound level? The sound is obviously different, but I'm curious if it's louder.

It is much louder. I can tell you that. But in a good way.

I will contact my guy over there tomorrow and see if I can get all the numbers for you guys. I am sure they put it on the dyno.

This is the only thing that matters to me. It sounds better, but I am too practical to spend money on something that doesn't have proven function.

If the HP/Torque increases were significant, then the increased numbers would be shouted from the rooftops by these companies, imo.

$42 shipping to VA. but dont think I want to try. They have many other parts also for $0 for our truck.

Sounds like the same Meineke placeholder issue that happened around January.. a bunch of us paced the order only to get a rude email from Meineke saying it was a placeholder and no actual system was for sale.

I don't think the magnaflow sounds very good...too much like an import car...I like the stock sound.

well no **** toyotas are imports....if you read I said import car. IMO it sounds like crap

I don't think the magnaflow sounds very good...too much like an import car...I like the stock sound.

Oh, like an import car.... you mean like a Bugatti Veyron.

Then I agree it does make it sound like an import car.Very similar now that you mention it!
