Following these directions and it aint working on my 14 LE....
After the required maintenance is performed according to the maintenance schedule, please reset the maintenance data.

To reset the data, follow the procedure described below:

1 Turn the engine switch off with the trip meter A reading shown. (→P. 83)

2 Vehicles without a smart key system:
While pressing the display change button (→P. 83), turn the engine switch to the “ON” position (do not start the engine because reset mode will be canceled).

Vehicles with a smart key system:
While pressing the display change button (→P. 83), turn the engine switch to the IGNITION ON mode (do not start the engine because otherwise the reset mode will be canceled).

3 Continue to press and hold the button until the trip meter displays “000000”.

step 2.5: hold the button down until the -'s go away one at a time until all gone if i am remembering correctly

My manual reads the same.

2014 SR5 Premium 4X4
I am without smart key system....
When I reset my maint alert by the procedure, I don't have 000000's, I have a progress bar that moves from left to right. Once it has moved completely to the right the maint alert is reset.

Set display to trip odometer A, turn ignition off. Hold down button, turn ignition on. Display changes to ------, keep holding button down until the -'s go away.

My 13 LE w/smart key, just did this yesterday for 25k svc light.

Trip A showing, turn off ignition. One button push to ACC position, no dash lights will be on. Push down trip button and hold, push ignition button again and hold until Maint Req light is extinguished.

Took me a few times as I wasn't showing Trip A.

If you are having issues, turn the vehicle all the way off, open and close the door and repeat the procedure.

DON'T hold your foot on the brake when doing it, just push the button until the vehicle is Key ON/Engine OFF

On my 14LE, when I reset the maintenance minder (per the manual), the center display shows a message of "Resetting maintenance data" with a progress bar. The trip 'A' odometer does not reset to 00000. Current information as I just reset it this week. Engine must be off, and the ignition 'On' (i.e. all the instruments and accessories power up). Good luck.

Thanks for this! I was pushing the "DISP" button on the steering wheel. Got to push the odometer trip button instead.

Guess my reading comprehension skills need some work.

This is a common problem. I was also pushing the display button on the steering wheel a while back. The manual should be much clearer on this.

tr4.org to the resuce once again

Always helpful to learn I'm not the only dull knife. 10 minutes of trying to reset.... Pushing the darned DISP button.

Jesh.

Agreed - the manual isn't exceptionally clear on this.

Thanks!
